Gay Men’s Ketamine Therapy Group

Los Angeles

The benefits of Ketamine therapy involve more than just the medicine experience. The conversations that surround it, the consistency of an ongoing group, and the support of an affirming space all shape what Ketamine has to offer.

This 17-week group program is designed specifically for gay, bisexual, and trans men seeking a more comprehensive alternative to at-home Ketamine programs and infusion clinics. We meet weekly in a small, closed cohort, alternating between Ketamine-assisted group sessions and virtual group therapy. Each Ketamine experience builds on the last, allowing the medicine and the work of the group to deepen over time.

Who this is for

This program is for adult gay, bisexual, and transgender men who want the benefit of Ketamine therapy in a stable, ongoing group.

It is appropriate for those seeking improvement in mental health as well as those looking for personal growth or creative insight.

It may not be appropriate for those experiencing psychosis, Bipolar Disorder, or active substance dependence.

Perspective participants may schedule a free, 20-minute discovery call to see if the program is a good fit.

Why group work matters

Although neither individual nor group Ketamine work is superior, group work has benefits that cannot be replicated 1-on-1.

Ketamine often allows group members to be more emotionally open and present with each other. This can lead to deeper connections and a sense of belonging as you authentically are. Because many gay, bisexual, and transgender men have received messages of unworthiness, these group experiences can be profoundly transformative.

A small, committed group offers:

  • Support from other men facing similar challenges

  • Accountability and motivation as we achieve our goals together

  • Relief from secrecy and isolation

  • The experience of connection without performance or concealment

The role of Ketamine

Ketamine creates a window of opportunity for accelerated transformation. Neurologically, it temporarily makes the brain more capable of learning and changing. This means old habits and thought patterns become less rigid.

Psychologically, Ketamine shifts our ordinary sense of self and can evoke states of meaning, awe, and compassion. This helps us see from a broader, kinder perspective.

My background

I have over 15 years of clinical experience as a psychotherapist. I was first drawn to the transformational power of groups while facilitating group therapy at drug rehab facilities. I continue to facilitate therapy groups, retreats, and workshops as a regular part of my practice.

My background in psychedelic therapies focuses on working within LGBTQ populations. I contributed to the book, Queering Psychedelics, teach psychedelic therapy at Vancouver Island University, and facilitate legal plant medicine retreats in the United States, Costa Rica, and Iceland.
